OSH/CFOI
The
Occupational Safety and Health Census of Fatal Occupational
Injuries Division is responsible for compiling work related
injury, illness and fatality statistics. This data is available
to the public upon request.
The Arkansas
Department of Labor has contracted with the U.S. Department
of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics to conduct annual surveys
of workplace fatalities, injuries and illnesses.
The first data for fatalities was released in the fall of
1993 for calendar year 1992 through a program known as CFOI,
Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries. Findings on the number
of fatalities in Arkansas for each subsequent year are as
follows:
