The certificate is a credential developed by ACT WorkKeys® and signed by Governor Mike Beebe. It confirms to employers that an individual possesses basic workplace skills in Reading for Information, Applied Mathematics, and Locating Information- skills that all jobs require. The Career Readiness Certificate is recognized nationwide and was implemented in Arkansas by the Governor's Workforce Cabinet to improve workforce and economic development.

Since 2008, more than 18,000 CRCs have been awarded, and more than 2500 employers have hired job seekers who have a CRC. The best part, the program is free and meets EEOC requirements!
