Summary of Changes

[TEA 2110.2] – The number of the SSA form SSA-2853, Receipt for Enumeration at Birth, was corrected. The numbering under 2110.2 (#3) was corrected.

[TEA 2161] – The hours of employment required for DCC child care assistance was changed in accordance with recently revised DCC policy. It is now 32 hours.

[TEA 2201] – An example was incorporated to provide additional clarification regarding who is required to be in the TEA Family Assistance Unit.

[TEA 2430]

• A statement clarifying that deferrals will be granted to those individuals who meet the criteria. The revision also clarifies that a deferred individual can volunteer to participate and receive supportive services while participating.

• A statement regarding case staffings during the deferral months was added to the policy box.

• A note was added under short-term medical deferral procedures to provide additional information.

• A statement was incorporated into the note following the long-term disability procedures to provide information regarding individuals caring for a disabled family member.

[TEA 2430.1] – Statements were added to clarify that the client may voluntarily participate in a work activity while deferred and cannot be sanctioned for non-participation.

[TEA 2430.2] – A new subsection was incorporated to provide the procedures for correcting the count on the TEPC screen.

[TEA 3100] – A clarification regarding using the DCO-1402 as a mandatory assessment form has been incorporated. The note regarding the TABE test was revised in accordance with TEA 2004.2.

[TEA 3300] – The wording was revised to clarify that the minor parent participation requirement applies to both the non-head of household minor parent and the head of household minor parent.

[TEA 3415.2]-3415.3 - The previously issued clarification correcting the maximum number of months for a vehicle loan from 30 to 36 has been incorporated.

[TEA 3463.1] – Vendor File Action Form information was revised in accordance with current procedures.

[TEA 4200]-4220 – References regarding the mailing of warrants for TEA assistance payments were deleted in accordance with current procedures.
