TEA 2004.2 has been revised to clarify that the referral to Arkansas Rehabilitation Services (ARS) for a Learning Disability Assessment will be made after the application has been approved.

TEA 2144 has been revised to incorporate information on the establishment of paternity for the Office of Child Support Enforcement referrals.

TEA 2320 has been revised to add the words "long-term" and the definition of long-term to the phrase "alleged disability."

Under Work Participation Deferrals:

• #1 has been revised to include the referral to ARS when a long-term disability is alleged.
• The "Note" has been revised to include information on the extension to the 24-month time limit for deferred individuals.
• Definitions for short-term and long-term disabilities have been added.

TEA 2511 #2 has been revised to add a policy reference (TEA 2144).

• #4 has been revised to delete the phrase "come in for an assessment" to be consistent with the change in the sanction policy for non-participation in a work activity - i.e. 25% reduction in the cash assistance payment, instead of case closure.
• #5 has been deleted as a reason for closure because warrants for regular cash assistance are no longer issued.

The procedure regarding notification to the client regarding the time limit was revised to be consistent with current procedures. The statement regarding benefits not being continued was revised to state that benefits will be continued if an individual appeals closure of the TEA case due to the time limit within 10 days of the date of the notice.
