Summary of Changes
TEA 2110 has been revised to include information on the SSA-2853, Receipt for Enumeration at Birth, as acceptable verification that an application for a Social Security number has been completed.
TEA 2110.2 has been revised to include information on what the county will do when a SSN has not been received within one year from the date on the SSA-2853.
This change to TEA policy is consistent with changes that are being made in the Medicaid and Food Stamp policies.
