Subj:    Changes to the Alternatives for Adult with Physical Disabilities Waiver (AAPD)

Summary of Changes  

To better serve AAPD recipients, federal approval was received to:

• Provide additional services to AAPD recipients.

• Allow the spousal rule for resources at MS 3337-3338.12 to apply to the AAPD waiver applicants and recipients.

• Allow the AAPD waiver recipient turning age 65 the choice of remaining on the AAPD waiver or transition to ElderChoices.

The policy sections for the above changes have been revised.
