Problems with DHS Services?

If you are having a problem with a DHS service or program we want to help resolve the issue that is causing difficulty for you! Please consider the following step:

  • It may be possible to resolve the issue by having a simple conversation with the caseworker or program manager assigned to the case. Try that first.

  • If that doesn’t work please consider contacting the County Administrator at the county office where you have been dealing with DHS. County Administrators oversee the operation of the office and determine who is eligible for what service. To obtain the phone number for the county office nearest you please call 501-682-1001. The Division of County Operations Customer Service line is 1-800-482-8988 or TDD 501-682-8275.

  • For issues involving adoption, foster care, child protective cases, or other issues involving children ask to speak to the Division of Children and Family Services Supervisor at the local county office or call the Division of Children and Family Services Client Advocate at 501-683-2735.

  • If you are still having problems or have a question that hasn’t been answered call the DHS Client Advocate at 501-682-8650. The Client Advocate will attempt to resolve the problem you are facing and will get the appropriate DHS Division Director involved to help you.
