Can
I nominate a group (like a Girl Scout Troop)?
Currently
the awards are only given each year to seven adults over the
age of 21, one youth (under 21), and two corporations (for
profit businesses). Non-profits
and community groups are not eligible for nomination in
these awards.

Where can I get a nomination form?
Forms are available for download on
Division of Volunteerism ‘s website year round. Nomination forms can
also be mailed to the requestor.

Can I fax my nomination in?
Yes, but the fax copy must be followed
by the original in the mail. Please indicate that you are
mailing the original when you fax your nomination.

How are the honorees chosen?
A selection committee, made up of
individuals from around the state who are active in
volunteerism, reviews and ranks each nomination.
The top seven individuals, top one youth, and top two
businesses (one large-with more than 100 employees and one
small – fewer than 100 employees) are awarded.

Mrs. So-and-so received an award
several years ago. Is
she eligible to receive the award again?
No, honorees are only eligible to
receive the award one time.

When is the awards ceremony?
Generally the end of June each year.
The date may vary. You may contact DOV or KARK-TV for an exact date each year.

Will my photos be returned to me?
No, it is best to send in copies of
photos.
|
|
|
