SUBJECT:   NEW ADMINISTRATIVE POLICY

            Please find enclosed a copy of a new Administrative Policy to become effective September 30, 2002.  To facilitate the implementation of this policy, the Arkansas State Bank Department, along with the Arkansas Banker’s Association and the Arkansas Community Banker’s Association, will co-sponsor a Directors Training Seminar on Friday, November 1, 2002.  An additional seminar will be scheduled in May of 2003, with dates for future seminars to be set at approximately six-month intervals.

          As plans develop, I will notify you regarding information on times, dates, and locations of these classes.  You may also contact the Arkansas Banker’s Association and the Arkansas Community Banker’s Association for further information.
