Marilyn A. Sitzes, P.D.

Marilyn A. Sitzes was appointed to the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy by Governor Mike Huckabee in July 2006. Marilyn received her Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and completed her pre-pharmacy coursework at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia. Marilyn has practiced in many areas of pharmacy including hospital and community pharmacy and currently acts as the pharmacy manager of Fred’s Pharmacy in Hope, Arkansas. Marilyn also consults for surgery center pharmacies and has dedicated herself to helping in charity clinics throughout her professional career.

Ronnie Norris, P.D.

Ronnie Norris was reappointed to the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy in September 2007 by Governor Mike Beebe. Dr. Norris received his Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy in 1974 from the University of Arkansas College of Pharmacy. He served on the Board of Directors of the Arkansas Pharmacists Association (A.P.A.) and was President in 1996. In 1998, Dr. Norris was honored as the A.P.A. Pharmacist of the Year. He has served as President of the Arkansas Pharmacist Foundation, Secretary-Treasurer of Professional Pharmacy Services, Inc., and as a member of the Admissions Committee of the University of Arkansas College of Pharmacy. He is a member of A.P.A., A.Ph.A., and N.C.P.A. Dr. Norris is also active in the community. He has served as Chair of the Desha County Republicans. He was selected by Governor Huckabee to serve on his volunteer transition team and was appointed by Governor Huckabee to a term on the Desha County Quorum Court for 1999-2000. He is a current member of the Desha County Quorum Court.
Dr. Norris is also a past Board Member of the McGehee Chamber of Commerce. He serves as a Deacon and Team Captain of the Honduras Mission Team based at First Baptist Church in McGehee, AR.
Dr. Norris is the owner of Drug Mart Pharmacy and serves as the Director of Pharmacy at McGehee Desha County Hospital. He is married to Linda B. Norris and has two children Laura Norris Haywood and Sarah Norris Farmer.

Steve Bryant, P.D.

Dr. Bryant is a 1969 graduate of Alma High School. He completed his undergraduate studies at Arkansas State University in 1973 and earned his pharmacy degree from the UAMS College of Pharmacy in 1976.
Throughout his career, Steve has been extremely active in the profession of pharmacy. He currently serves on the PACE Alliance Board, Medicaid Board, and the Arkansas Pharmacists Services Company Board of Directors. He served for twelve years on the Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield Pharmacy Therapeutics Committee and approximately twelve years as chairman of the Arkansas Pharmacists Political Action Committee. Steve has carved out a number of innovative directions in pharmacy by establishing a home I.V. practice, a home healthcare nursing agency, hospice, a kidney dialysis center, and as a provider of immunosuppressive medications for kidney, liver, and heart transplant patients.
He helped bring Smith Drug Company and the PACE Alliance program to Arkansas.
Dr. Bryant is a member of the Arkansas Pharmacists Association, the Independence County Pharmacist Association, and the National Community Pharmacists Association.
He has been a member of the Batesville Airport Commission for ten years, two of which he served as chairman. He is also a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and is a Young Eagles Flight Leader.
He is married to Sharon, and they have two daughters, Monica and Mallory. Mallory is married to Air Force First Lieutenant Justin Burton.

Governor Mike Beebe appointed Dr. Justin Boyd to the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy on June 30, 2009.
Justin graduated from Van Buren High School and attended the University of Arkansas, Fort Smith and Fayetteville campuses for pre-pharmacy. He graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS)- College of Pharmacy in 2000. Justin graduated from the University of Arkansas- Walton College of Business with a Master of Business Administration degree in 2007.
Justin’s pharmacy experience includes a Primary Care/Family Medicine Pharmacy Residency at the Jonesboro Area Health Education Center, clinical/hospital pharmacy at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville and St. Edward Mercy in Fort Smith, academic experience with UAMS- College of Pharmacy and community pharmacy experience at Baker Drug in North Little Rock, Medi Sav in Fort Smith and Coleman Pharmacy of Alma.
Justin has broad leadership experience that includes being: a past president of the Arkansas Association of Health-System Pharmacists, on the Arkansas Pharmacists Association Board of Directors, an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists delegate, a St. Boniface Advisory School Board member, a pharmacy operations manager at St. Edward Mercy and an owner/pharmacist in charge at Coleman Pharmacy of Alma.

Lenora Newsome, P.D., is serving her second term on the Board and has served as President of the Board. Lenora graduated from the U.A.M.S. College of Pharmacy in 1980. She then did a residency in Hospital Pharmacy at Harris Hospital Methodist in Fort Worth, Texas. She is a member of Phi Delta Chi Fraternity and is a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville where her major was pre-pharmacy.
Lenora is a member of the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy and the Arkansas Pharmacists Association. She is also a member of the Arkansas Medical, Dental, and Pharmaceutical Association and the National Pharmacists Association of Arkansas. Lenora in currently working as a Pharmacist at Walgreens Pharmacy in El Dorado. She is a member of the New Providence Baptist Church in Smackover.

Governor Mike Beebe appointed Stephanie Goodart O'Neal to the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy on August 30, 2011.
Stephanie graduated from Wynne High School and attended the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville and Arkansas State University, Jonesboro. She graduated from the University of Arkansas (UAMS) College of Pharmacy in 1974.
Stephanie was employed as a staff Pharmacist from 1974-1997. From 1997 to present she has held the positions of CEO and Manager of Wynne Medical Pharmacy.
Professional memberships include the Arkansas Pharmacists Association, American Pharmacists Association, National Community Pharmacists Association and International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists.
Stephanie is married and has one son, two stepchildren, and two grandchildren. She has served on the Cross County Arts Council and Cross County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She is a member of First United Methodist Church in Wynne where she is currently a member of the Administrative Council and a member of the Finance Committee. She has also served on the Staff Parish Relations Committee.

Larry W. Ross serves as Presiding Elder of the Christian Methodist Episcopal {CME} Church, Arkansas Region East District where he presides over 40 Pastors and Church congregations.
Ross and his wife, Lillian, have three adult children, Angela, Larry II, and Erica.
Ross is a 1969 graduate of Philander Smith College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education. He earned his Master of Science Degree in 1971 in Early Childhood Education from State College of Arkansas (now the University of Central Arkansas) and also completed additional graduate studies at the University of Indiana, Bloomington. He holds an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters Degree and an Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree.
Ross was appointed to serve on the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy by Governor Mike Beebe. In addition, Ross serves as the National Vice President of the Presiding Elders Council of the Christian Methodist Episcopal {CME} Church; is Chair of the Philander Smith College Board of Trustees; a member of the Board of Directors of Centennial Bank and Vice Chair of the Bank Business Development Committee.
Ross is Past President and a member of the North Little Rock Rotary Club, and he is a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow.
Ross retired as an executive with AT&T Corporation in 2000. In addition, Ross served on the Arkansas State University System Board of Trustees from 1986-1996 and was twice elected Chair of the Board. He was appointed in 2003 to the Arkansas Blue Ribbon Commission on Public Education (by Attorney General Mike Beebe), and served as Chair of the Facilities and Funding Committee.
He formerly served as a member of SeniorNet International Board of Directors; Chair of the Arkansas Ethics Commission; Chair of the Arkansas Educational Television Network Commission {AETN}; a member of the National Board of Directors of the Association of Public Television Stations; Chair of the North Little Rock Library Commission; and Chair of KUAR Public Radio Board of Overseers and a member of the Arkansas Community Foundation Board of Directors.

Joyce Palla was appointed to the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy by Governor Mike Beebe in September, 2011. Joyce is a retired Cost Center Manager from Texas Instrument and former owner of Palla-Warner Gifts and Antiques in Arkadelphia.
Ms. Palla is a board member of the Clark County Economic Development Corporation and Tourism Bureau, Arkadelphia Children's Advocacy Center and a Clark County Election Commissioner. She also co-chairs the Arkadelphia 2025 Commission, serves as President of the Clark County Extension Homemakers, and is Vice-President of the Clark County Women Democrats.
Ms. Palla is a member of the Arkadelphia Rotary Club, Arkadelphia Primrose Garden Club, Governor's Mansion Association and the Clark County Master Gardeners.
