Provisional
Licensee Information If a problem arises with your application or provisional license status you may petition the Board in writing 10 days before the next Board meeting. Provisional License status is obtained when an application file passes credential review. The provisional license is similar to a temporary license. Provisionally Licensed Applicants may not practice psychology in independent private practice; the provisional licensee must have supervision to work. They may practice only in an organized public or private agency, institution, or organization in house with their supervisor. The Provisional License fee is $100.00 for a six month period. Provisionally Licensed Applicant Status is good for one year from the date the applicant receives written authorization from the Board. Please retain the official letter. The provisional license is good for 2 six-month intervals. Please be advised, if you delay sitting for the EPPP, your Provisional Licensure Applicant status could run out before you successfully complete the EPPP and the Oral Examination. It is imperative that you sit for the EPPP as soon as possible. The number of times an applicant may sit for the EPPP is unlimited, but the Provisional Licensure Applicant status time is not. A supervision form is due on a quarterly basis from your supervisor.
